Arsenal’s former No1 David Seaman has revealed Bukayo Saka could be fit to play against Liverpool at the weekend, despite ongoing injury concerns.
Saka has not been available for the Gunners since being forced off the pitch with a knock in England’s 2-1 loss to Greece, earlier in the month at Wembley.
And the 23-year-old winger still remains an injury doubt for north London side, ahead of their table-topping clash with Liverpool at the Emirates on Sunday.
Speculation that Saka would remain sidelined was fuelled by manager Mikel Arteta’s post-match comments, after Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Arteta told reporters: ‘Saka is not training yet so he won’t be available.’

Arsenal’s legendary former No1 said he saw Saka back in training on Thursday
Speaking on his Seaman Says podcast, the ex-keeper said it’s a ‘good sign’ to see him training
But Arsenal icon David Seaman dropped a clue that the winger could return after two games out, saying he’s spotted the 23 year old back in training.
Speaking on his Seaman Says podcast, the legendary keeper shared his thoughts ahead of the game: ‘I’m a little bit nervy, if I’m honest, because we’re not going to be at our strongest, depending on Saka.
‘Although when I was in last Thursday at Arsenal, coaching with the young goalies, I saw Bukayo with his boots on and I was like, “ah, good sign”.
‘Not trainers or anything like that. He was going off to do some one-to-one rehab, so that was a good sign. Hopefully it’s not too bad.’
The former England No1 said: ‘The only indication they’ve got that’s definite is that Saliba’s out with his suspension.
‘It’s going to be tough, but these are the games you want. These tell you how good you are, or how good you’re going to be in the season.’

Arsenal remain without key players, including William Saliba, who is serving a suspension
Mikel Arteta’s side take on Liverpool in a top-of-the-table clash on Sunday at the Emirates
Arsenal will definitely remain without Saliba, who is serving a one-match suspension after being sent off against Bournemouth last week.
Injuries to Martin Odegaard, Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu have been compounded with Riccardo Calafiori suffering a medial knee ligament injury in the match against Shakhtar earlier in the week.
