Donald Trump’s Art of the Deal co-author Tony Schwartz has predicted that the president will soon resign from his role as Commander in Chief.
Schwartz said that he would be ‘amazed’ if Trump lasted a year in office, saying the president will resign before special counsel Robert Mueller acts on his Russia investigation.
In follow up tweets in response to questions, Schwartz predicted that Trump would make a deal for immunity in exchange for his resignation, adding that the ‘Russia stuff will be huge’.
Donald Trump’s Art of the Deal co-author Tony Schwartz has predicted that the president will resign from his role before the year is up
He wrote on Wednesday: ‘The circle is closing at blinding speed. Trump is going to resign and declare victory before Mueller and congress leave him no choice.
‘Trump’s presidency is effectively over. Would be amazed if he survives till end of the year. More likely resigns by fall, if not sooner.
‘Trump must be isolated. Resistance every day. The end is near but must keep pressure high.’
In a now-deleted tweet, Schwartz also criticized Trump’s three eldest children, Ivanka, Donald Jr and Eric.
‘Eric & Donald Trump Jr., dumber versions of their father. Ivanka Trump fake human and enabler. They all suffer from Stockholm Syndrome,’ he wrote.
He later deleted the tweet and explained: ‘Yesterday I criticized Trump’s children, and today deleted the tweet. I don’t know them & I want to keep my comments focused on Trump.’
The writer has long predicted Trump’s resignation, with his most recent comments echoing a statement he made in May.

‘I surely believe that at some point over the next period of time he’s going to have to figure out a way to resign,’ Schwartz told CNN at the time.
Trump himself hired Schwartz to co-write the memoir-cum-business guide, released in 1987.
Schwartz spent a year following the businessman around to write ‘The Art of the Deal’ and describes himself as the book’s ghostwriter, something Trump denies.
A post on Schwartz’s Twitter feed reads: ‘I wrote the Art of the Deal. Donald Trump read it.’
As Trump’s approach to the White House began to pick up steam this year, Schwartz became more and more vocal in his opposition to the Republican.
Now he maintains a rolling Twitter commentary on Trump’s affairs in which he derides the candidate as ‘narcissistic’ and ‘paranoid’.
Before the 2016 presidential election, he warned that warns that if Trump were given access to America’s nukes, he could cause Armageddon.
