A talented mother-of-two has built a mammoth following on social media with her incredible Halloween costumes – which are made entirely of body paint.

Marina Lane, 33, from Norwich, painted the likes of Jack Skellington and Beetlejuice directly onto her body, spending up to eight hours on each creation.

The result is astonishing – and she has amassed 1.5 million TikTok followers.

Her most recent creations include zombie versions of Ronald McDonald and Princess Peach, which she showcased in a video with more than 16,000 likes.

Marina also painted depictions of The Nightmare Before Christmas characters on her body

Ms Lane said: ‘My most popular videos have been Heath Ledger’s Joker in the nurse uniform and Ronald McDonald. Emily from The Corpse Bride is always popular too.’

Her artwork is created largely with liquid latex and paint, aside from a few small fabric strips.

The mother-of-two began teaching herself the skill in 2020, and says the most difficult step is ‘painting my right arm using my left hand.’

‘This is quite a struggle when a look requires a lot of detail on the arms,’ she said.

Ms Lane said the ‘lengthy’ process begins when she covers herself with fabric patches and ‘several layers of liquid latex’. She then paints over the top.

She told the Hull Daily Mail: ‘I got into body painting properly in September 2020, although I’d been doing creative makeup looks for years before this.

‘Around 2014 I began posting bridal and glam makeup looks on social media but felt that this wasn’t captivating enough. I soon began doing more creative looks, using face paints and wigs and transforming into characters from the shoulders up.
