After Brazil’s defeat, Vidal wrote on Instagram: ‘See us in Chile but without help’, insinuating Brazil had needed the help of officials to beat them but would not be so fortunate during the World Cup qualifier.
His full post read: ‘It hurts me so much to lose and know that we can’t fight the titles we all want.
‘But I’m going to calm down now because we left life on the court and we got Brazil on our knees again and the best of this is that we will see Brazil again in September and there will be better prepared and we will see who wins!!! Chile I love you and I die for my flag.’
But when the two teams met on Friday, Brazil were once again victorious, with Everton Ribeiro’s goal proving to be the difference in a 1-0 win.

Vidal’s previous comments soon resurfaced, with Brazilian outlet TNT Sports sharing them on Instagram.
Richarlison commented ‘Se busca’ on the post, which roughly translates to ‘wanted’. The forward then shared the post on his story.
Vidal was quick to respond, sharing an edited picture of Richarlison playing for Brazil with a clown emoji over his face, with the caption ‘And this clown who knows him.’
Brazil are top of their World Cup qualifying group with seven wins from seven games.
Chile, meanwhile, are seventh and risk missing out on another World Cup. The top four nations automatically qualify, with the fifth team progressing to a play-off.
