Ashley Roberts shows off her incredible physique in a teal bikini as she soaks up the sun after jetting to Cape Town for a Christmas break

Britain may well be her home, but Ashley Roberts was far from the miserable weather currently sweeping across her adopted country as she soaked up the sun on Thursday.

The Pussycat Doll is making the most of a glorious winter break in South Africa, and she wasted no time in sharing fresh content with social media followers who may well be experiencing rather different conditions.

With the sun shining in a cloudless sky, Ashley, 41, showed off her nicely toned physique while sipping a fruity cocktail in a short Instagram video with the accompanying caption: ‘Holiday mode.’

The American singer, dancer and presenter – who is based in London – opted for a smart teal coloured bikini and heavily tinted shades while enjoying another day in paradise.

With temperatures apparently soaring, Ashley stayed cool beneath a seasonal bucket hat as she gave followers a panoramic view of her breathtaking surroundings.

The performer has jetted to Cape Town and the affluent coastal suburb of Clifton after discovering she will be spared the ordeal of confronting her alleged stalker in court.

Lewis Langley is accused of repeatedly showed up at her home and workplace at Global Radio studios, where she serves as a showbiz correspondent for London based Heart FM.

The 47-year-old also ‘regularly’ turned up outside a flat believed to be her home address and asked staff working in the building for his belongings back, prosecutors say.

At a pre-trial hearing on Friday for which Langley was not required to be present, Croydon Magistrates’ Court heard an application for the singer to give evidence about the alleged ordeal remotely from her workplace.

Prosecutor Alex Alawode said: ‘(Ms Roberts) has expressed concern about having to come to court and be in the same room as the defendant.

‘It is said the defendant believed he was in a relationship with Ms Roberts, so much so he would regularly attend accommodation believing she lived there… and waiting around the Heart radio studios in Leicester Square.’

Sam Gilmour, defending, contested the application, arguing that the radio show host should not be given ‘special treatment’ because of her status as a celebrity.

Gilmour said it is a ‘stalwart of the justice system’ that defendants face their accusers at trial and questioned ‘why (Ms Roberts) should be given treatment that is special as opposed to victims of domestic violence that have to turn up to court’.

She added: ‘She was a Pussycat Doll back in the day – why she should be given preferential treatment on that basis I know not.’

But District Judge Polly Gledhill granted the application on the basis that it is likely to improve the quality of her evidence.
