A Gold Coast primary school is in lockdown after threatening graffiti was discovered on a classroom window.
In an email to parents, Ashmore State School said the graffiti spoke of bombing the school and ‘take one child hostage every day until they disappear’.
Queensland police say no suspicious people or packages have been found and the threats are being investigated.
Emergency services and numerous police officers are at the scene.
Students are safe and are with teachers and staff, a post on the school’s P&C Facebook page said.

‘Dear parents, on the window of the lower school, graffiti has been discovered this morning and reads “Just letting you know I’m going to bomb this school. I am also going to take one kid hostage every day until they all disappear”.’
‘Police are on their way and the regional director has been notified. The school is following the direction of the authorities and we will keep you updated as the morning progresses,’ the email read.
