Assault charges against NRL star Josh Reynolds ‘will be dropped’ after police investigate the claims made by his former lover
Domestic violence charges against NRL star Josh Reylonds have been dropped by police.
The Wests Tigers player was accused of leaving his girlfriend Arabella Del Busso with bruising to her right arm and left leg after an alleged attack on September 12.
Reynolds, 30, has maintained his innocence and accused her of faking three pregnancies and pretending she had a miscarriage to dupe him out of cash.
Josh Reynolds was accused of leaving his girlfriend Arabella Del Busso (pictured together) with bruising to her right arm and left leg after an alleged attack on September 12
His lawyers alleged she only filed her domestic violence complaint after she learned he was going to tell police about her alleged deceit.
Police said at the time of his arrest that Ms Del Busso attended St George Police Station about 2pm on December 11 – three months after the alleged assault.
Her allegation came after Reynolds in October discussed his relationship with her to the NRL integrity unit.
Leaked footage showed the shirtless player verbally abusing Ms Del Busso, 29, as she sat on his bed, but did not show any assault.
Two months after the Reynolds was arrested and dragged through the courts several times, his lawyer Daniel McGirr was on Wednesday morning informed the case was over.
More to come.
