Aston Merrygold has announced his engagement to pregnant girlfriend, Sarah Lou Richards.
The former JLS singer – who is expecting his first child with his other half in January – made the big reveal on Tuesday as he took to Instagram with a loved-up snap.
‘Allow me to introduce you all to my fiancée #TheMerrygolds #shesaidyes #enganged #wifey #mummydaddyandbabymerrygold,’ the dance star, 29, delightedly captioned the image.

The sweet snap saw a thrilled Aston lovingly putting his hand on Sarah’s bump as they stood in rose-lined heart.
Sarah, who was causally clad, couldn’t wipe the smile from her face as she put her hand on Aston’s stomach to show off her sparkler.
The announcement is set to top of a special year for their romance as back in September they announced their pregnancy, writing on Instagram: ‘Could be pink… could be blue… all we know is that we’re due.’
The Get Stupid singer shared the same post to Instagram and added a lengthier caption that added: ‘On May 29th 2017 we found out that our lives were going to change forever! This secret has been so hard to keep, but I’m so excited to finally be able to share the news with everybody that me and my beautiful lady are going to be parents!!!!!!
In a promise to his other half, Aston then sweetly added: ‘Sar I promise to be the best daddy ever to our baby boy/girl. You are an amazing woman and going to be the greatest mum to our child! Thank you for continuously making me the happiest man ever! I love you hurry up bump we can’t wait to meet you.’
Aston then revealed that the pair are choosing not to find out the sex of their baby while revealing that Sarah is due to give birth in January next year.
After announcing they were expecting, Aston went onto join Strictly Come Dancing where he found himself at the centre of a fan storm, after his elimination was dubbed the most shocking in the show’s history.
And it seemed that Sarah Lou was in agreement that her beau should not have been voted off, and that Craig Revel Horwood deserves the backlash.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Sarah said that Craig made a mistake in giving Aston a four for his performance, which led to the couple being voted off.
Sarah said: ‘Sorry, Craig – you kind of deserve it. I think this time you got it wrong!’
Aston also revealed that after he found he had been eliminated he was unsure what to think, but is not moving on to focus on his new arrival.
He said: ‘On the evening I was proper gutted. I was trying to work out what I had done wrong. But in this industry you have to have the mentality that when one door closes, you look to see what you can do next.’
‘Sarah and the baby are my priority now.’
Ahead of the couples impending arrival, Aston also revealed that it was becoming a Dad that spurred him on to do Strictly, even if it did leave the chance that he might be away from his beau in the later stages of her pregnancy.
Sarah also revealed that neither of them have found out the sex of their little one, saying: ‘We just want it to be a surprise.’
‘I want to be one of those dads who sends out the text with the baby’s name, whether it’s a boy or girl, and the time of birth. That is the first official thing – I’m very excited.’
