Astrologer says rare black moon over the UK this week marks the end of a ‘dark time’ – and people can now ‘get our confidence back and shine again’
- London astrologer Yasmin Boland revealed the meaning of last night’s new moon
- Says black moon was sign we should get ‘confidence back and start to shine’
- Told This Morning that the rare phenomenon signalled change after ‘dark time’
A ‘moonologist’ has claimed that the rare black moon spotted over the UK this week is a sign that people can begin to make positive changes again after a ‘dark time’.
Astrologer Yasmin Boland, from West London, appeared on This Morning today to discuss last night’s black moon, which takes place once every two-and-a-half years and occurred in the UK at 2.40 am this morning.
Boland said the new moon, which was in the astrological sign of Leo, is a sign that we should start to ‘get our confidence back’ after a ‘dark time’ and begin to ‘shine again’.
The author went on to insist that while trying to make change in your life, she has ‘endless amounts of proof’ that the power of manifestation – thinking things can happen – will help people bring success to their lives.

‘The fact it was a black moon isn’t as important as the fact it was a new moon, said Yasmin.
‘It was in the sign of Leo, which means something different for everybody. But as we’re coming out of this strange time, it’s an important moon for people who need to get their confidence back and start to shine again.
‘Because obviously it’s been a dark time for a lot of people and I think that was the significance of the moon last night.’
She explained that every month, a new moon, is an opportunity to ‘think about what we want in our lives’ and that ‘the earth is the school of manifestation’.
What is a black moon?
The term black moon refers to a second new moon that appears in a month.
It can also refer to the absence of a new moon in a month.
This event occurs around every 33-months – roughly every two and a half years…
‘Actually once a month we get this amazing opportunity with the new moon,’said Yasmin ‘…to really re-calibrate and think about what we want in our lives.
‘I believe the earth is the school of manifestation and if you start to get really systematic in your wishing and your commitment to yourself, you will start to change your life.
‘Successful people know life is about making decisions about “What do I want? What do I intend for myself?”
‘However, not everyone is born with that confidence and so to come back once a month and say “What do I want? How can I get there?” is a powerful thing to do.
She went on to insist that the best way to make lasting life change is through manifestation, a technique which involves picturing what you want and believing it will come true.
The theory teaches that an individual can bring something tangible into their life through the laws of attraction, by believing it will happen wholeheartedly.
Speaking of the method, she said: ‘Hundreds and thousands of people around the world do this every month.
‘It’s honestly not a belief. I have endless amounts of proof, from myself and all the people who read my books.
‘It literally works and I would like everybody watching to know, you are way more powerful than you know.

Yasmin went on to explain that the absence of a moon this month means some people may exhibit ‘strange’ behaviour
‘It’s all about sitting down and thinking about what do I want in my life. Now is the perfect time to make a wish.’
Yasmin went on to explain that the absence of a moon this month means some people may exhibit strange behaviour.
She said: ‘When we have the new moon it disappears from the sky and as humans we are programmed to see the moon.
‘If it wasn’t for the moon, our planet would spin out of orbit and that’s one of the reasons that people go just as looney during the new moon as a full moon.
