Atlanta cop ‘calls head of Black Lives Matter the n-word’

A black cop is under investigation after was caught on camera calling the President of Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta a ‘f****t’ and a ‘n***a’.

The video, filmed by actor, model and Black Lives Matter leader Sir Page, shows him approaching a plainclothes officer to ask if he currently works for the Atlanta Police Department.

The officer, who had been speaking with another man, looked extremely annoyed to be interrupted, telling Page: ‘Man, get the f**k away from me.’

‘You said ‘get the f**k away from’ you, is that how you talk to citizens?’ Page, 29, responded during the incident, which occurred near Five Points station in Atalanta on January 26.

The unidentified officer began walking away from the activist, but not before he shot back: ‘F****t a** n***a, get the f**k away from me.’

‘You work for APD talking like that?’ Page shouted at the officer’s retreating back. ‘I bet you won’t have a job tomorrow.’

It is not clear how Page knew the plainclothes officer was a cop, or whether the officer knew Page was the president of Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta.

However, Atlanta Police Department has confirmed the man in question is an Atlanta officer, although they declined to identify him.

A spokesperson told The New York Post that the department’s Office of Professional Standards has launched an investigation into the incident. They would not say whether the officer had been placed on leave or was still on active duty.

Page claims that the incident began when he called the police to report two illegally parked cars blocking traffic.

When he and the officer erupted into a row, Page said he tried to report the cop’s behavior to two officers uniformed officers nearby who were not interested in assisting him.

Page told The Post that he believes the plainclothes officer called him a homophobic slur because he was wearing sparkly shoes, slim fit jeans and a blazer.

‘It was because of how I was dressed,’ Page told The Post. ‘I’ve never had an officer say anything like this to my face ever before. Who’s bold enough to say something like this to your face?’

Both Page and the officer appear to be people of color.

Page says he’d angry at how he was treated, and wanted to confront the officer so he doesn’t treat ‘gay folks and transgender people’ in a similar way.

‘I’m not one of those citizens who will roll over,’ the activist added.
