Atletico Madrid have confrimed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher for £34million 

Gallagher looked set to finalise a move last week after agreeing personal terms before his move stalled due The Blues deal for Atletico’s Samu Omorodion collapsing.

The 24-year-old returned to Cobham where he trained on his own as he waited nervously on the conclusion of the deal 

And now with Joao Felix now returning to west London on a permanent deal, the homegrown Chelsea player has made the switch to the Spanish capital. 

The midfielder, who joined Chelsea at the age of eight, becomes Diego Simeone’s fourth signing of the summer.

The England international is believed to have signed a five-year deal at the Stadio Metropolitano.

The Spanish giants teased the signing of the England man with a bizarre graphic of a pitbull before unveiling Gallagher.
