A wife has won $19million on the lottery after racing to buy a ticket just two minutes before the draw closed.
The lucky punter from South Auckland in New Zealand scooped half of the Powerball jackpot after buying the ticket just moments ahead of the 7.30pm deadline.
The woman said she also only checked her ticket the next day after hearing two players owned the winning ticket.

‘My husband turned to me at 7.22pm and said “we didn’t get a Lotto ticket! You better race down to the dairy and pick one up”,’ she said according to the NZ Herald.
After scrambling around her house to find her bank card and top up her account, she said she finally clicked ‘buy’ at 7.28pm.
‘When I logged in and saw all six numbers and the Powerball on one line I was sure I had made a mistake,’ she said.
After confirming she had the numbers perfectly lined up with a family member, she had the pleasure of informing her husband of their win when he returned from work.
‘I stepped through the door and she handed her phone to me straight away. I looked at her and said “we haven’t won Lotto have we?” There were a few tears from both of us after that.’
Both of the $19,142,857 prizes were won by people from Auckland.
The other ticket was bought by a central Auckland mother, who revealed she plays her lucky numbers each time.
