Shocking footage of a motorist driving away from a police officer after he was pulled over has drawn outrage from Aussies who have slammed his behaviour.
The 32-year-old driver filmed the incident unfold on his phone after he was pulled over by Queensland Highway Patrol in Brisbane in May.
An officer was seen speaking through the driver’s window and explained to the motorist that the car appeared to be unregistered.
‘Have you got your driver’s licence?’ he asked.
‘Nup… I’m going about my day,’ the driver responded before he began to pull away.
The frustrated officer yelled after the driver, demanding he stop his vehicle.
‘No, you’re detained!’ he said.
The driver shot back: ‘See ya later, brother.’

The man continued filming as the policeman got inside his car and turned his lights and siren on, likely preparing to pursue the driver.
The alleged unregistered driver attempted to keep his cool, saying ‘Bless his little heart’ while eating a strawberry.
However, viewers were quick to point out the driver’s shaky hand, a clear sign of stress.
‘Your hands are shaking holding that strawberry though bro,’ one said.
‘The shaking hand with the strawberry,’ another wrote alongside laughing emojis.
Other commenters called the driver an ‘idiot’ for filming and sharing the incident.
‘Takes a simple traffic offence, makes it a criminal offence and films the whole thing…. Yeah that’s smart,’ one wrote.
‘I suspect [he] was picked up moments after that video ended,’ another said.
‘Haha then records touching a mobile phone and eating whilst driving in addition to evading police,’ another wrote.
Drivers caught failing to stop for an officer in Queensland face a fine of $5,500 or 50 days behind bars.
Meanwhile, the fine for driving an unregistered car varies between $313 and $417, depending on the engine size of the vehicle.
Queensland Police released a statement saying the diver was handed several infringement notices for allegedly failing to comply with police.
‘It will be alleged that on May 12, police were conducting patrols on Mount Cotton Road in Sheldon just before 2pm when they intercepted a Nissan Patrol that was unregistered,’ it read.

‘The driver pulled over but failed to comply with the officer’s directions and drove away.
‘It will be further alleged the following day police attempted to intercept the same Nissan Patrol on Tilley Road at Gumdale.
‘The driver initially pulled over, but again drove off before police were able to approach the vehicle.’
The driver was identified as a 32-year-old man from Algester.
‘The man attended Capalaba Police Station the next day, on May 14, and was issued a Notice To Appear for two counts of evade police, and two counts of driving without a driver licence (SPER suspended),’ Queensland Police said.
‘He was initially due to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 26.
‘He was also issued Traffic Infringement Notices including two TINs each for driving an unregistered vehicle ($495 x2), driving uninsured ($619 x2), using plates issued to another vehicle ($123 x2), and one TIN each for driver using handheld mobile phone ($1,161) and fail to keep left of double continuous lines ($278).’
