An Australian homewares store had a 5,000-person waitlist for its Paris-inspired plates prior to launching.
No. 22 Home curated a five-piece set of French homewares perfect for a breakfast treat or decadent brunch, with Aussies clambering to purchase a piece before they sold out.
‘Crafted from high-quality porcelain, each plate is sturdy and durable, making them perfect for everyday use,’ the website read.
‘The classic and elegant design of the plates, with the delicate croissant illustration against a crisp white background, makes them a versatile and timeless addition to any kitchen or dining room décor.

It’s the latest addition to the brand’s broader Destinations by No. 22 Home series.
‘We started with Capri and Mykonos, which were both wildly popular, but waited a while to launch Paris. It is a favourite city of mine (and many others) and we wanted to be very purposeful in the design and its process,’ Founder Alexandra Pappas, 34, told FEMAIL.
‘When considering designers we engaged Lauren Hung from The Blackline Bottega. Lauren drew a little bicycle as her vision for the collection back in May 2022, which I was obsessed with. I couldn’t get it out of my head.
‘It reminded me of the bicycle in the cartoon Madeline, that I loved as a kid, with the basket on the front, a girl’s hat, and a bunch of flowers. I loved finding out later that this also was Lauren’s inspiration and from there, the concept for the whole collection was born.’

Ms Pappas started the brand in 2019 as a side hustle before transitioning it into her full-time job.
‘I am obsessed with anything to do with property and interiors and was constantly buying new furniture and décor pieces for my home, so the business was an outlet to channel some of that creativity,’ she said.
‘No. 22 Home quickly grew momentum with the rise in people finely curating their home, like they do their wardrobe, so I left my job in mid-2021 to focus on No. 22 Home full-time.
‘We quickly launched the Capri Collection in November 2021, which was insanely popular and still is to this day, followed by Mykonos and now Paris.’
It’s the playfulness of the designs that Ms Pappas credits for their popularity, with all manner of cutlery, coasters, glassware and placemats available on the website.
