Aussie groom uses tripod to take photos at his wedding

  • A video of the man was uploaded to meme-based website Brown Cardigan
  • The footage shows him setting up a tripod to take pictures with his wife
  • The groom then proceeds to become a part-time stylist to his gushing bride
  • He has cheekily been labelled a ‘dream husband’ by some and ‘thrifty’ by others

A groom has been caught on camera using a tripod to take his own wedding photos and acting as a stylist to his bride-to-be.

Video of the newlywed couple was uploaded to Australian meme-based blog Brown Cardigan on Sunday, much to the delight of the website’s 100,000 followers.

The footage was appropriately captioned: ‘Wedding photographer? Stylist? Yeah nah, I can do it babe #dreamhusband #DIY.’

In the 15 second clip an unknown man wearing black trousers, a white long-sleeved business shirt and a skinny black tie is seen clearing a space in a garden-like setting, preparing to take photos.

He then proceeds to use a comb to brush back his bride’s hair, as though he’s styling it for the occasion.

In a final shot the man sets up a tripod and sits next to his leading lady on a park bench.

‘I would do this if I could take photos,’ one man wrote in the comments section, tagging his girlfriend.

While some were quick to denote the man’s actions for being a little on the cheap side, others praised his independence and said he would be saving ‘at least $2,000’ by taking his own photos.

According to Snappr, the average cost of a wedding photographer in Australia is $3983.

‘Smarter than all the people that spend 30k+ on a single day,’ one person quipped.
