Aussie interior designer reveals top tips to showcase your style add value to your home

Michael Clarke’s ex Jade Yarbrough has revealed her top tips to styling a new home.

The interior designer, 32, explained how to make a domestic space feel personal and unique.

First, the founder of Merci Maison said it’s important to reflect on your ‘lifestyle, interests and personal taste’.

Jade also explained that the way someone lives their everyday life will help to guide the aesthetic vision of the home.

She also suggests going with ‘statement furniture’ for every room in the house.

‘Choosing such a piece not only anchors the room stylistically but also helps determine how the space will be used and experienced,’ the designer told Domain.

Other top tips included focusing on practicalities of living spaces and looking to the ‘overall feel’ of rooms and the home.

One important consideration is to privilege timeless colour palettes over contemporary design trends.

‘Classic colour palettes like crisp whites, soothing blues and warm neutrals remain timeless additions to any home,’ she said.

‘These versatile hues provide a timeless backdrop that can be easily refreshed with accent pieces and accessories as trends evolve.’

It comes after Jade recently returned from a luxurious trip to Paris.

During the holiday, she took to social media with a call out for photographers to chronicle her time in France for the Paris Olympics.

Jade was in Paris at the time with her sister Jasmine and her Today star brother-in-law Karl Stefanovic when she shared an image to Instagram Stories asking for local photographers to contact her.

‘Any photographers/videographers in Paris the next few weeks? Hit me up please,’ Jade wrote.

Her post did not mention if it was a paid position or what kind of remuneration she would potentially be offering.

Jade’s net worth is rumoured to be in the millions.

She was previously in a relationship with Australian cricketer Michael Clarke.

Michael and Jade got into a very public bust-up in a Noosa park when she accused the cricketer of sleeping with his ex Pip Edwards.

Others in the group, including Karl Stefanovic, his wife Jasmine – Jade’s older sister – and celebrity accountant Anthony Bell, tried to defuse the fracas.
