Face and founder of Aussie Home Loans John Symond has sold his three-bedroom Sydney apartment for a staggering $7.25million.

The financial executive managed to get the lucrative sale of his three-bedroom Elizabeth Bay property over the line just before the predicted end of the property boom.

The off-market deal was tendered through Jason Boon, of Richardson & Wrench Elizabeth Bay, and saw the apartment growing $1million in value since it last traded in 2014 for $6.125 million, Domain reports.

John Symond recently moved to London with his wife Amber, and has been shrinking his Sydney property portfolio since.

In 2017 he sold his Point Piper penthouse for $13.5 million, and was in talks with a buyer from China over the potential $100 million sale of his nearby palatial waterfront mansion.

Symond withdrew the latter property from the market at the last minute, however, claiming he and Amber would be spending more time in Australia than they thought and would use it as their primary residence.

This year’s Financial Review rich list estimated John Symond’s worth at $621 million.
