Aussie legend ‘Barking man’ sets the internet on fire AGAIN – years after becoming iconic figure

An Aussie legend who barked like a rabid dog on national television has returned to the spotlight after recreating the iconic performance 14 years later.

Ray Graham became an international sensation in 2010 after a TV interview with A Current Affair about rabid dogs that were ‘terrorising’ his local area.

After telling the reporter that the dogs ‘came bounding over’ to his home in western Sydney, Mr Graham then started thrashing around and furiously barking.

Footage of his enthusiastic impression of the dogs has been viewed tens of millions of times online and earned him the moniker ‘barking dog man’.

While attention has died down for Mr Graham, footage of him recreating the iconic quote at what appears to be a family event was posted to social media on Sunday.

Despite it being 14 years since the original video, a number of people who saw the live impression still burst out laughing.

Social media users similarly applauded his commitment to the impersonation, saying ‘he’s still got it’ while others declared him an ‘absolute icon of Australia’.

Others noted his wife played her part ‘perfectly’, looking just as shocked in the video as she did during the original segment.

‘The barking man is still my ringtone to this day,’ one person said.

‘The barking dog man meme is still massive,’ a second said.

‘This has been ingrained in my head for like, 15 years,’ a third shared.

A fourth said they remembered watching the segment when it first aired.

‘My partner and I were talking and we stopped to listen and looked at each other in disbelief of what we just saw,’ they wrote.

Others pondered how many times he has ‘brought this one out at a family do’.

‘Please tell me he does this at every family function,’ a user said.

‘You just know he’s done this more than 50 times for them,’ another said.

In 2019 he told Daily Mail Australia he is still regularly stopped for a selfie.

‘I get noticed in the street, not as much now, but it still happens,’ he said.

‘Just the other week I was out shopping with Kerry and these two guys started after us and we thought they were going to mug us but all they wanted was just a photo!

‘They always want to take a photo and sometimes I sort of bark at them – they really love that.

‘It’s been all positive, there’s been no downside, but it has definitely changed my life.’

It isn’t the only time he’s recreated the iconic moment, having quoted the line in an endorsement for a Liberal candidate in Bennelong.
