Aussie mother reveals huge regret after getting face tattoos inspired by Margot Robbie’s famous Suicide Squad character

An Australian mother has revealed her regret after getting face tattoos inspired by Margot Robbie’s famous Suicide Squad character.

Lily Wright, 28, has spent years living with three face tattoos inspired by Margot’s on-screen portrayal of comic book character Harley Quinn.

Margot put her own spin on the crazed antiheroine with pink and blue dyed hair and face tattoos in what has become an unforgettable costume that has inspired many Halloween outfits.

And Melbourne-based mother Lily even went as far as getting the same tattoos as Margot’s Harley, getting a black love heart, a cross and the word ‘rotten’ inked on her cheek.

However, Lily has now revealed that she now ‘massively regrets’ getting the Suicide Squad-inspired tattoos because people judge her for them.

‘I now massively regret getting my face tattooed. I need to get rid of them,’ she told Yahoo! News as she shared her hopes of getting them removed.

‘I got in some criminal trouble in 2016 and I decided to get my face tattooed. I feel like I have been judged a lot for them… I feel like the tattoos hold me back.’

Lily explained that she has removed herself from criminal activity and gone to rehab, and hopes getting the tattoos removed will be a step towards finding employment.

Tattoos can be removed using a Q-switch laser, which sends out energy in a strong pulse that heats up the ink in the skin and dissolves it.

They can also be removed through surgery or skin treatments, however any type of removal procedure is likely to leave some scarring or skin colour variation.

The process generally costs between $100 and $300 per session, and can take between four and ten sittings to remove the tattoos – costing as much as $3,000 in total on average.
