Aussie swimming great Cate Campbell names the sports that will win the Sex Olympics in Paris

  • Cate Campbell revealed all in wild interview from Paris
  • Athletes are sleeping on so-called ‘anti-sex’ cardboard beds

Australian swimming great Cate Campbell has set pulses racing after revealing which sports will do the most hooking up with other Olympics stars in Paris.

The retired pool star said rowers, water polo players and rugby stars are the athletes who are most likely to get frisky in the Olympic village, despite the so-called ‘anti-sex’ cardboard beds that have caused controversy in the official accommodation.

‘If you are there meeting people and in the best shape of your life, who am I to stand in your way?’ Campbell said in response to a suggestion that the Olympics is the ‘horniest place ever.’

‘I was single [at the Tokyo Olympics] but not many [athletes] hooked up as everyone was worried [at the time] they would get Covid.’

When pressed on which nation hooks up the most at the Games, the former freestyle sprinter remained tight-lipped – before stating which sports would likely see the most action between the sheets.

‘I reckon the rowers and the water polo players… and the rugby,’ she said during an appearance on B105’s Stav, Abby & Matt radio show.

‘From my experience, it wasn’t the swimmers.’

Campbell has courted controversy in recent months after sledging the US swim team, with her comments sparking a war of words with pool legend Michael Phelps.

It followed Australia upstaging their bitter rivals at last year’s world championships, but they were left seething when American broadcaster NBC changed their own medal tally graphic to put the US on top.

It came despite Australia boasting a superior gold medal count of 13 to the Americans’ seven.

Campbell didn’t mince her words, labelling the US stars ‘sore losers’, with Phelps left astonished.

He was adamant Campbell’s sledge would be a source of motivation ahead of the pool events in Paris.

Meanwhile, fellow Aussie swimming great Emily Seebohm called out the biggest ‘root rats’ during the Games – before detailing the raunchy antics that often occur in the Olympic village.

Her remarks come after the ‘anti-sex beds’ in Paris caused a stir following the International Olympic Committee cracking down on intimacy at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Seebohm joked that the living quarters for athletes is ‘like Tinder’.

‘No joke it’s probably like Tinder in there,’ she quipped while speaking about the Paris Games on KIIS 97.3’s Robin & Kip on Wednesday.

When asked who the biggest ‘root rats’ are, Seebohm went on: ‘Oh, God. Um, that’s really hard. If you’re competing later on, you know, you only have a small window to enjoy that.

‘Whereas if you’re competing day one or day two and that’s it, it’s all over. So, you sort of can get on it for a bit longer. I don’t know.’

Hosts Robin Bailey and Kip Wightman then joked the swimmers are ‘clearly’ the raunchiest athletes because the majority of finals have already taken place.
