Aussie woman reveals ‘terrifying’ cancer scare at just 24

TikTok and OnlyFans star Anna Paul said she was left ‘terrified’ after doctors told her that a mole on her stomach was turning cancerous.

Luckily, the 24-year-old social media sensation swiftly had the mole removed, but she has now warned her 2.9 million Instagram followers of the potentially fatal consequences of sun tanning.

After her terrifying health scare, the Australian social media influencer is urging her fans to get their skin checked and to stay out of the sun.

Anna, who is the highest-earning OnlyFans creator in Australia, opened up to her followers on Thursday about her health scare, but didn’t say exactly when it occurred.

Sharing a close-up shot of her body in a yellow bikini on Instagram, Anna pointed out a visible scar that she has just under her belly button after having a suspicious-looking mole removed.

She said her fans often ask about the scar, and for the first time she addressed it, explaining that it’s from having a potentially cancerous mole removed.

‘Everyone always asks me about the scar on my stomach,’ Anna wrote alongside the snap.

‘I had a mole removed because it was turning into a skin cancer.’

What is skin cancer?

There are three main types of skin cancer: melanoma (including nodular melanoma), basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.

Melanoma: Most deadly form of skin cancer and if left untreated, it can spread to other parts of the body. Appears as a new spot or an existing spot that changes in colour, size or shape.

Basal cell carcinoma: Most common, least dangerous form of skin cancer. Red, pale or pearly in colour, appears as a lump or dry, scaly area. Grows slowly, usually on areas that are often exposed to the sun.

Squamous cell carcinoma: A thickened, red scaly spot that may bleed easily, crust or ulcerate. Grows over some months, usually on areas often exposed to the sun. More likely to occur in people over 50 years of age.

‘The doctors wrote it down as URGENT!!!!! And were sooo worried.

‘I was so terrified because I thought I should just book a skin check for the sake of it because I saw another influencer talk about it.’

Anna then said that she used to sunbathe as a teenager and begged her fans to not make the same mistake as her, as the consequences are potentially fatal.

She continued: ‘I used to tan a lot from the ages of 14 to 18. Now you couldn’t pay me enough money in the world to lay out to tan.

‘Please be sun safe!!! Get skin checks!!! I get one every six to 12 months.

‘Being alive is better than being tan. It is one of the leading causes of death in Australia and also the most preventable cancer.

‘If you have never had a skin check click out of Instagram right now and book one at your closest clinic.’

The influencer has previously spoken about the importance of skin checks and said she believes it’s important to raise awareness as it can save lives.

‘I have said something similar before a couple of years ago on my story and a hand full of people said that they got skin checks and found skin cancer,’ she added.

‘They had no idea about it and my story legitimately saved their life.

‘Even the smallest of moles could be deadly without you realising.

‘Please book a skin check. It’s worth it.’

While Anna has claimed she grew up poor, the online star now leads a lavish lifestyle envied by many.

Her social media pages are filled with footage and images of lavish overseas trips, designer clothing, flashy cars, and extravagant dates with her boyfriend Glen Tomson.

She has a flurry of teenage fans, and made headlines last August after police shut down her meet-and-greet in Perth after too many people showed up and it descended into chaos.

Anna apologised unreservedly at the time, saying she nor organisers expected such a high turn out, and they were unable to cope.
