An Adelaide woman revealed to a local radio station on Thursday she is willing to miss her aunt’s funeral to attend one of Taylor Swift’s concerts in Melbourne.
The 107.1 SAFM Breakfast show in Adelaide asked listeners to call in declaring what they would be willing to miss for tickets to the popstar’s Eras concert.
Several callers said they would miss work shifts and weddings, however listener Khiara was announced the winner after revealing she would skip out on a loved one’s funeral.
The South Australian from Hillbank told SAFM : ‘I’m a really big Swiftie, I would do anything, well clearly if I am missing a funeral. The body is being flown from Queensland, it’s a really big deal, there is going to be so many family members there and I am willing to upset everyone to go.’
‘In a respectful way, this is a once in a lifetime to see Taylor Swift,’ she added.

To secure tickets, Khiara had to convince her shocked mother Jodie to give her blessing to miss the funeral, which is expected to take place in Adelaide on Friday at 1pm ACDT (1:30pm AEDT).
Jodie resentfully accepted before saying she was ‘disappointed’.
To the shock of listeners, Khiara proceeded to ask if her mother would travel alongside her to Melbourne to babysit her one-year-old.
It comes after Taylor, 34, arrived in Australia to kick off her hotly anticipated Eras Tour.

The global megastar touched down in Melbourne on Thursday morning at approximately 12.40am and was greeted by a legion of die-hard Swifties.
The Cruel Summer singer travelled in style on board a Bombardier Global 6000, a luxurious private jet that can carry up to 17 passengers.
Taylor was promptly escorted to her accommodation after her 12 hour flight, where she will rest until she takes to the stage in front of 85,000 screaming fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.
The performance will kick off the first of Taylor’s seven sold out shows in Australia.
