Australia becomes the first country in the WORLD to get new Maltesers flavour

All new Maltesers have just hit store shelves nationwide and they are sure to satisfy taste buds with a classic flavour combination.

Iconic brand Mars Wrigley has chosen Australia as the very first country in the world to debut their latest popcorn flavoured Maltesers. 

The new flavour launch was inspired by customers who share their love for the sweet and salty combination that is often eaten at cinemas.  

The common ‘snack hack’ is a favourite of movie fans who buy a bucket of popcorn and a bag of Maltesers to combine together while watching a film. 

Mars Wrigley has taken matters into their own hands with the new treat that still contains the beloved malt ball but covered in popcorn flavoured milk chocolate. 

‘I’ve put Maltesers in my popcorn for years at the movies! Can’t wait to try these,’ an excited foodie wrote.

‘This is an incredible innovation by our team that was inspired by consumers and brings about that sense of nostalgia for movie nights with family and friends,’ Mars Wrigley’s marketing director Ben Hill said.

The limited edition Maltesers are not only great to eat on their own but are sure to become a popular dessert topping or ingredient in Rocky Road.

The snack is available from Big W, Woolworths and Coles stores for only $4.50 and shoppers have already shared their love for the nostalgic flavour.
