Australia female entrepreneurs share Christmas wish lists

When it comes to Christmas, you might be after a new bottle of perfume, some silky pajamas or underwear.

But what would you put on your festive wish list if you were one of Australia’s top female entrepreneurs?

FEMAIL delved inside the Christmas lists of some of the most successful women in the country – including PR queen Roxy Jacenko, activewear behemoth, Lorna Jane Clarkson, and the founder of the luxury leather business, The Daily Edited, Alyce Tran.

From AUD $63,000 designer weekly shoe subscriptions to Gucci fur-lined slippers and a luxurious trip to the Maldives, prepare to let your eyes (and wallets) water.

She’s the PR queen behind the multi-million-dollar business, Sweaty Betty PR, which turns over more than $10 million a year.

So what does Roxy want for Christmas?

‘Top of my list is the silver plated butter dish by Christofle Paris,’ Roxy told FEMAIL. ‘I want it for entertaining at home.’

The elegant dish comes in at AUD $372.50 – and is sure to elevate any casual dining setting.

‘I’m also after some NEUBE BLVD summer pjs’. These cost $149 and are available to be monogrammed.

Also on Roxy’s list is a Shannakian Fine Jewellery Diamond Evil Eye bracelet.

‘I’d also like a GHD Flight Travel hairdryer,’ Roxy said – this costs $99.

Finally, on her fictional list, Roxy is after a time frame collage of family photos or her office from Picture Postie.

‘I also would LOVE tickets for Art Basel Miami 2018,’ Roxy added. ‘I’m Alec Monopoly [the graffiti artist] obsessed,’ she concluded.

The CEO of luxury leather company, The Daily Edited, Alyce Tran, has managed to turn a leather goods startup into a business worth around $30 million.

So it’s no surprise that her fantasy Christmas list is also super glamorous.

‘My most aspirational wish would be a shoe of the week subscription service by Net a Porter,’ she told FEMAIL.

Retailing at over $63,000, this request is put through Net a Porter’s customer services team, and sees a different designer shoe be delivered to the recipient each week.

With the average Australian salary coming in at AUD $81,947 per annum with bonuses, if this were to be the case for many, it wouldn’t leave much left for general life admin.

‘I’d also love the Sarah and Sebastian Salt Cuff in White Gold,’ Alyce said. This retails at AUD $1,400 online.

‘Finally, it would be lovely to get a Three J NYC cotton PJ pant set in coral stars,’ she said. These cost $175.

KRISTY WITHERS – FOUNDER OF INCY INTERIORS

The New South Wales-based interiors designer behind Incy Interiors made headlines earlier this year, when tennis star, Serena Williams, plumped for one of her wrought-iron rose gold cots.

Her business currently turns over around $7 million a year.

Speaking to FEMAIL, Kristy explained she’s after a bottle of Chanel’s iconic Chance fragrance this Christmas, as well as a blush notebook by The Daily Edited.

This retails for $59.95.

She’s also, in an ideal world, after an Aje dress, the Utopia style, which costs $795.

‘I want the new fragrance from Louis Vuitton, Rose des Vents,’ she told FEMAIL. ‘You can get the bottle embossed and I LOVE a personalised gift.’

Elsewhere on her list, Shelley would love an Ouai Haircare ‘On my Ouai’ pack – which she said would be ‘perfect as I’m always travelling’.

Finally, she’d love a $206 pair of fringed gold-tone earrings by Katerina Makrivianni – ‘because goodness knows I need more pink!’.

Chloe Brookman, the brains behind the beautiful interiors range, Olli Ella, swiftly turned a side project into a multi-million dollar business. 

Created in her beautiful home in Byron Bay, it wasn’t long before the Olli Ella brand was snapped up by department stores around the world, including British stalwart, Harrods.

‘I’d love some new coffee cups from Dot and Co,’ she said – also highlighting the House of Expected Sisters novel by Alexander McCall Smith as a dream stocking filler.

Otherwise on her list, Chloe would love a pair of felt wool slippers, some Aesop Parsely Seed Face moisturiser and some linens from Cultiver Goods for her 70s Millard caravan she just purchased.

LORNA JANE CLARKSON – CEO OF LORNA JANE

For the activewear behemoth, Lorna Jane Clarkson, Christmas is all about being with the family.

‘I love everything about Christmas,’ she told FEMAIL. ‘The food, the decorations, the gift giving and the fact that it doesn’t seem to matter what’s going on in our lives we all just stop to celebrate and spend time with the people that we love.’

If Lorna was to choose one item for her festive wish list, it would be a ‘trip to Kani Club Med in the Maldives’:

‘Feel free to let my husband know!,’ she said. ‘We could spend Christmas with the family and then head off for a romantic getaway just the two of us!’.

Kani Club Med starts at AUD $1,940 per night per adult.

After starting Eat Fit Food in 2002, founder, Bianca Monley, has watched the health food business grow and grow.

And being a ‘busy working mother’, there are a few things highlighted on her Christmas list:

‘I’d love some UNIT NINE white python boxing gloves, a Balmain crepe blazer and compression yoga pants from the Upside,’ Bianca told FEMAIL.

The Balmain blazer costs $3,203, while the leggings are $149. 

Finally, Bianca has her eyes on the Gucci fur-lined slippers from Net a Porter, which cos $1,095 and have proved hugely popular with the style set.

Founder of Piccolo PR, Sarah Cichy, famously built her passion project into an empire by way of a $300 IKEA desk and ‘putting my social life on ice’ several years ago.

She now reaps the rewards financially, turning over millions annually.

‘I’d love a YSL monogrammed bag,’ Sarah told FEMAIL. ‘Definitely a worth per wear purchase – it wouldn’t come off my shoulder’.

The beautiful bag retails for $2,609.

Sarah would also love a La Mer moisturising cream, a pair of white Reebok trainers and a double wrap Hermes belt, which costs $490.
