Sydney and Melbourne are set to heat up just in time for the weekend, as above average temperatures settle in for the next three months.
Sydney will see mostly sunny conditions for Saturday and Sunday with tops of 23C.
Melbourne is set to sizzle with tops of 25C and 27C on Saturday and Sunday, before peaking at 32C later in the week.

Weatherzone meteorologist Kim Westcott said Melbourne is particularly warm for this time of year.
She also noted residents in Brisbane ‘won’t need their umbrellas’ this week with pleasant temperatures in the mid-20s predicted.
Perth residents will be rushing to the beach this weekend as temperatures soar to 31C on Saturday.
Temperatures in the West Australian capital will remain above 30C until Thursday.

The Bureau of Meteorology said Australia can expect a warmer than average summer.
‘Daytime and overnight temperatures for November to January are likely to be warmer than average for most of the country, with highest chances over Tasmania, southern Victoria, and the tropical north,’ BoM said in a statement on their website.
‘For November, daytime temperatures are likely to be warmer than average across the country except for southeast Queensland, southern parts of WA and SA, and eastern Victoria.’
