Australian Idol star Casey Donovan is at the centre of an alleged blackmail scandal.
A 33-year-old man was charged after he allegedly sent a threatening text message to the singer.
The man was a close friend of Donovan’s according to A Current Affair.

The 29-year-old, who was the youngest winner of Australian Idol in 2004, reportedly handed the text message to police.
The man was arrested in Bankstown, west of Sydney, on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old was granted bail and is expected to face Bankstown Court in two weeks.
Donovan re-entered the spotlight when she appeared on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2017 where she lost 17 kilograms during the show.
After being crowned the Queen of the Jungle, Donovan became the face of Coles promotions.
The former Uber driver also began a public weightloss journey where she lost 36 kilograms without going to the gym.
