Chloe’s homemade Big Mac uses just eight ingredients that can be bought from any major supermarket including lean beef mince, brioche buns, burger thins, pickles, cheese slices, lettuce, and sauce.

She starts by moulding the mince into burger patties by separating into two round balls and flattening them on some non-stick paper.

Altogether, the flavour-packed burger has a total of 475 calories, 39.4grams of carbs, only 20grams of fat and 32.9 grams of protein

Chloe generously seasons the patties with salt and pepper and fries them up in a non-stick pan flipping after a minute or two.

‘Flatten them down again with your spatula to keep them nice and flat. Flip them after a minute or two, they will hold shape fine I never have any trouble with them not staying together,’ she wrote.

While the patties are cooking, she chops the lettuce, dices the onion and sets them aside.

Once the patties are done, Chloe suggests lightly toasting the brioche buns in the pan with the inside facing down and assembles her burger.

She adds the lettuce, cheese, patty, onion, burger thin, sauce, pickles, another patty and more lettuce between the buns to make it look like a real Big Mac.

Many of Chloe’s 37,100 followers were impressed with the simple, guilt-free recipe and said they were keen to try it for themselves.

‘OMG! If I can find lettuce this is all I’m eating this weekend,’ one joked.

‘Gosh I can do relate to this, home cooking over take out any day! Thanks so much for sharing your tips as it helps me a lot with ideas,’ wrote another.
