Kmart shoppers have been left baffled as many have noticing the beauty sections at their local stores have hardly any products in stock
Sydney shopper Meaghan shared a video to TikTok of one store’s near empty beauty shelves and displays. Many in the comments said the same thing was true of Kmarts they had visited
‘Is all the Kmart beauty stock being sent to like a different state or something?’ Meaghan, known as Organised M online, asked in the clip.
‘I’ve been to a couple of stores in Sydney recently and they all looked like this,’ she said as she showed the barren shelves and displays.
The professional organiser said the store she was in was the ‘worst’ she had seen with next to nothing in the beauty section available.
‘There’s heaps of this Monday shampoo but where is everything else? What’s the hold-up?’ she said.
‘This is ELF – I always want it but it’s never here,’ she added as she showed the display with only a handful of items hanging.
Meaghan’s clip has been viewed more than 133,400 times and had many viewers scratching their heads over the strange stock issue.
‘It’s not hiding over here in WA, we got nothing either,’ one woman said.
‘Same in Melbourne, I don’t know where the TikTok girlies are getting everything but my Kmarts are empty,’ a second wrote.
‘I’ve been to about six different Kmarts lately and the shelves are empty,’ said a third.
Commenters from Brisbane, Christchurch, Newcastle, Canberra, the Gold Coast, Darwin, Townsville and Hobart also reported the same issue in the beauty aisles.
Some employees said it’s because stores are getting ready to do their annual stock-take but a Kmart spokesperson told FEMAIL many beauty products sold out over Christmas and they are working to replenish the shelves shortly.
‘Our affordable beauty range has been widely popular with customers, particularly over the last few months as we saw lots of popular products sell out quickly over the Christmas period,’ they said.
‘The team have been working hard to keep shelves full and we are expecting more stock in-stores shortly.’
