Australian Survivor star ‘King’ George Mladenov reveals why he has undergone a second hair transplant after sporting a full head of luscious locks on the show

Survivor Australia’s ‘King’ George Mladenov surprised fans on Monday when he announced he is undergoing a second hair transplant.

The 30-year-old reality star shared his hair restoration journey in a video on his Instagram page.

In the clip, he explained he has had 13,00 grafts of hair planted in his head during two surgeries.

Hair grafts are extracted in follicular units comprising of 1-4 hairs through a follicular unit extraction (FUE) method. 

A hair transplant in Australia can cost anywhere between $10,000 and $20,000, depending on the extent of hair loss and the type of procedure you have.

George went on describe the positive impact the first transplant had and how it helped him get TV ready for Survivor.

‘It went really well the first time. I know it’s gonna look even better this time and I can’t wait to see it,’ he explained.

 ‘I don’t know if anybody knows, but three years ago I didn’t look like this in terms of my hairline. ‘

‘I looked very different and my hair, as you’ve seen on Survivor, the first time I played, it was about a year after I got it done, and it was great.’

Addressing why he decided to undergo a second procedure at Brisbane-based Gro Clinics, George said, ‘The answer is because I can move more hairs because I’ve got enough at the back of my hair to move them and make the rest of my hairline fuller.’

He encouraged fans to follow his progress on Instagram, promising to provide regular updates.
