The swim stars include world champion Emma McKeon, Olympic breaststroker Zac Stubblety-Cook, Rio Olympics champion Mack Horton, sprint star Mollie O’Callaghan, and emerging distance swimmers Elijah Winnington and Lani Pallister.

O’Callaghan and Winnington are at even more risk of exposure as they train with Titmus at Brisbane’s St Peters Western Pool.

Neither Titmus or McKeon had planned to race at the Budapest world titles in two weeks but their teammates are due to fly out for a Spain staging camp on Saturday night ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

All athletes were tested following the Speedo event and Swimming Australia confirmed that as of Friday no other swimmers had tested positive.

Team doctors will continue to monitor the athletes and are following protocols to ensure the virus does not spread in the team.

‘Ariarne has returned a positive test and has been isolating appropriately,’ a Swimming Australia spokesman told The Courier Mail.

‘Those other athletes who attended the launch are following the relevant precautions as set out by the team doctor and all have returned negative tests.

‘There is no delay to the planned travel over the weekend.’

Titmus is expected to resume her training for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, beginning in July 28, sometime next week.
