Australian TikTok star Leah Halton reveals how she’s coping with her newfound fame after gaining 700 MILLION views for 12-second clip

Leah Halton has become one of TikTok’s biggest stars virtually overnight. 

The model, 23, gained fame when she uploaded a seemingly-simple 12-second clip of herself lip syncing to YG Marley’s hit track Praise Jay In the Moonlight in February. 

Since then, the video has reached an incredible 713 million views and over 47 million likes. 

Leah has now addressed her incredible success, telling her followers that she feels ‘blessed’.

‘As many of you know I’ve been posting YouTube videos for around four years now and that is where my passion will always be,’ she told her fans.

‘It’s crazy that this “blow up” has happened in such a short time frame and for those of you that are new followers, I hope you enjoy getting to know me.

‘I’m so emotional and just feel so blessed.’ 

The now infamous TikTok video begins with a close up shot of Leah’s face; she pouts and looks around before scrunching up her nose.

Then, the camera zooms out to show her from the chest up as she starts to mouth the words of the song. It ends with her grinning as she runs her hand through her hair. 

‘Summer,’ she captioned it, alongside a smiley face and the hashtag ‘Inverted.’

Leah, who hails from Melbourne, started her internet career off by posting videos to YouTube in 2019. 

She began by uploading ‘get ready with me’ type vlogs and clips that showed her doing her makeup or showing off her fashion hauls.

Leah would also share beauty tips and trying out various trends, and thanks to her stunning looks and alluring personality, she was quickly propelled into the spotlight.

Her followers soon began to sore both on YouTube and on Instagram, and as she rose in popularity, she soon started landing a slew of sponsorship deals.

She has now worked with brands like Princess Polly Boutique, Fashion Nova, Juice Couture, House Of CB, Lounge, and White Fox, among others, and was signed to the talent agency ZOOZ Group.

She’s currently taken, as she’s been dating a man named Adrian since 2021.
