There are grave concerns about the welfare of an 18-year-old autistic student who was last spotted walking through a train station at 3am on Wednesday.
Katherine Tran has not been seen since her image was captured by security cameras at Merrylands station in Sydney’s west in the early hours of Wednesday.
She is seen walking down a ramp wearing a black zippered Lonsdale jacket, a school uniform green tartaned skirt with thongs and with a black bag holstered over one shoulder.

The missing schoolgirl has her hands in the jacket pockets and stares ahead betraying no sign of emotion.
Tran left her home her Wingello Street home in the western Sydney suburb of Guildford at 1am on Wednesday.
Police told Daily Mail Australia this was ‘out-of-character’ and her family were very concerned.
Tran is in year 12 and currently doing HSC exams.

Police believe she may be travelling on the public rail network and is known to favour hanging out at Parramatta Westfields shopping centre and in the CBD.
She is described as having an Asian appearance, being about 155cm tall, with solid build and dark hair.
Anyone with information that might help locate Tran is urged to contact police immediately.
