A Woolworths shopper has been left in stitches after noticing an ‘insane’ price glitch on shelves while browsing the aisles.

Sydney mum-of-two Cassandra saw pairs of novelty Easter bunny sunglasses were priced at a whopping $40 and shared an image to a popular Facebook group.

‘Today’s laugh, at Woolies Casula,’ she captioned the social media post.

The error not only amused Cassandra but hundreds of others in the online group, with some adding their spots of amusingly incorrect price labels.

‘Should’ve gone to Specsavers,’ one person wrote, another added: ‘Must be prescription novelty glasses.’

‘Geez they really are putting the prices up on things,’ another wrote.

In the comments, another shopper said she too has noticed incorrect prices of Easter items and shared an image.

Among the shelves of Easter kits, arts and craft eggs, baskets and decorations, some items were priced as high as $72.

‘I [have] seen similar a few weeks ago at Woolies Strathpine. Took the photo to show staff at the check out but forgot. Nearly died at half of the prices,’ the shopper wrote.

Another shopper noticed the Easter display at her local store was ridden with incorrect labels too. Among the shelves of Easter kits, arts and craft eggs, baskets and decorations, certain items were priced as much as $72 (pictured)

A Woolworths employee later confirmed the outrageous price tags were a mix up.

‘I can confirm that is not the price. I did the Easter corner in my store and when we print the tickets out they print as carton prices (what you see is the price for the whole carton),’ the staffer wrote.

‘We then have to fill the stock and go back through and reorder all the tickets for the individual items. Individual prices are also on the boxes as well.’
