A woman has been killed following a horrific lawn mower accident.
The woman, aged in her 40s, suffered critical head and chest injuries on a private property at Ayr, south of Townsville in Queensland, at 6pm on Monday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but the woman could not be saved.
The incident marks the second death involving a lawn mower in the state within a week.
A man was killed after becoming trapped under a lawn mower at Tallegalla at Ipswich, south-east Queensland, last Monday.
