Azealia Banks cancels her Melbourne concert just hours before the show

Azealia Banks left her Aussie fans devastated after cancelling her Melbourne show at the last minute on Saturday night.

The American rapper, 31, pulled the plug on her Festival Hall concert just hours before she was due on stage, with her promoter Point Blank Productions blaming ‘visa issues’.

In an official statement on Instagram, Point Blank Productions wrote: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce that tonight’s Melbourne show with Azealia Banks will not proceed due to Azealia’s visa not being granted in time for her performance.’

‘The visa has since been granted but flights from Aukland to Melbourne are exhausted to get her to Melbourne in time,’ the statement continued.

The promoter also claimed they are ‘exploring a new Melbourne date’ – but Banks has since furiously insisted there will be no second show.

Reposting her promoter’s original statement, Banks wrote: ‘Ahem, the promoters dragged their feet, agreed to provide a number of amenities which were not provided.’

‘I have been at the airport since 7am. There will be no rescheduled Melbourne show, and I will be paid in full for [the promoter’s] f**k up.’

She added: ‘Major apologies to the fans who bought tickets but there will be no rescheduled show. I have s**t to do.’

Banks’ upcoming Sydney and Brisbane shows will however go ahead as scheduled.

Melbourne ticket holders have been given the option of receiving a refund, or transferring their ticket to a new Melbourne show that has yet to be announced.

The news comes just days after Banks postponed her Brisbane show from December 8 to December 13.

She will next perform in Sydney at the Enmore on Sunday night.

Banks is slated to perform in Sydney at the Enmore theatre tonight, December 11.

The outspoken star, who shot to fame with her hit dance track 212, is known for her fiery online rants and on-stage meltdowns.

In 2012, she walked off stage midway through her set at Australia’s Splendour In The Grass festival, blaming dodgy equipment.

She pulled the same manoeuvre in 2013, just 90 seconds into her performance at Listen Out Festival in Melbourne.

Just a week later, she stormed off stage 15 minutes into her Sydney show, claiming that someone in the audience had thrown a beer bottle at her.

Most recently, while performing at the Wynwood Pride concert, Miami, in June Banks suffered another a bizarre on-stage meltdown, complaining about how promoters kept changing her call times.

‘I’m really not happy to be here. I’m trying y’all, but it’s difficult,’ she told her fans right before her microphone was cut out as she said, ‘I really don’t wanna f**king be here.’
