A six-month-old infant passed away Monday after suffering fatal head injuries from a houseboat accident that took place at the Navajo Canyon in Lake Powell, Arizona.
An adult aboard the houseboat that attempted to dock from the beach area, reportedly fell atop the baby boy, who has since been identified as William Garner.
The heartbreaking mishap happened late Sunday afternoon.
Rangers working inside the park immediately responded to the report, according to the Arizona Coconino County Sheriff’s Office release.
Baby William was transported to the Salt Lake City Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead early the following morning due to ‘major head trauma.’
