An 11-month-old baby boy has been found dead in a home in regional NSW.

The baby was discovered unresponsive at a property on Hunter Street in Glen Innes on Sunday morning.

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

NSW Police are treating the incident as ‘suspicious’.

‘An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death is now being conducted by detectives attached to New England Police District,’ a spokesman said.
