Two family members eventually start to help the little one with their trunks, hoisting the baby elephant above the muddy ground.

Onlookers offer a round of applause as they watch the tiny creature arrive out of the hole safely.

The unidentified person who filmed the clip said: ‘Wonderful to witness the amazing bond elephants have for their young and other family members!’
