Baby in Hebersham thrown against a wall in a stroller

A man has been arrested after a baby was injured during a domestic violence incident in Sydney’s west.

Just after 2.30pm on Wednesday emergency services were called to a home on Jersey Road, Hebersham, following reports a man and woman were fighting.

Police have been told during the argument a 21-year-old man picked up a stroller, which had a five-month-old baby inside, and threw it before leaving the scene.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the baby at the scene before being taken to The Children’s Hospital Westmead.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crimes scene and commenced and investigation.

A short time later, a 21-year-old man was arrested at near Stevenage Road, and was taken back to Mount Druitt Police Station.
