Bachelor Matty ‘J’ Johnson hams it up at the TV WEEK Logie Award nominations

Matty ‘J’ Johnson was in excellent spirits at the TV WEEK Logie Award nominations launch party on Sunday.

The 30-year-old had reason to be smiling as he learned that he was nominated for the Popular New Talent award.

Matty was clearly overjoyed as he posed for snaps at The Star on the Gold Coast, grinning for the camera and hamming it up with some amusing poses.

The Bachelor star looked smart in a grey, checkered suit that fitted his slim physique  perfectly. 

He paired the suit with a checked pale blue and white shirt and a tie with geometric designs in various shades of blue. 

A pair of shiny, pointed leather shoes completed the chic and trendy look.   

Matty appeared to be in his element as he posed by the pool at the luxury venue and could not wipe the smile off his face.

The reality star will be competing against a part of the extended Bachelor family, the former Bachelorette Sam Frost. 

She is also in the running for the Popular New Talent award at this year’s Logies.  

There is also strong competition evident in the Gold Logie category for Most Popular Personality on Australian television this year.

Amanda Keller for Network Ten’s The Living Room has also been nominated, along with The Wrong Girl’s Jessica Marais. 

Also featuring in the category are Foxtel’s Andrew Winter, Family Feud’s Grant Denyer and the Nine Network’s Rodger Corser.   

Australian television’s ‘night of nights’ is set to take place on the Gold Coast on Sunday July 1.
