Claims have emerged that historically unflappable Bachelorette runner-up Jarrod Woodgate was a tad upset at how this season panned out.
Thankfully, he’s shed his last tear over Sophie Monk and is back stomping grapes at full capacity – although he’s now admitted losing to an intruder had him seeing red.
‘He’d only been there half the time, so yes… to have an intruder go that far is upsetting,’ he said of winner Stu Laundy, in an interview with Popsugar on Friday.
‘He’d only been there half the time!’ Bachelorette runner-up Jarrod Woodgate admitted on Friday that being beaten by an intruder in Stu Laundy made his loss even more upsetting
It comes after Thursday’s finale, which saw Sophie and Stu ride off into the sunset, while Jarrod took off down the beach in tears – pondering what could have been.
Despite the frustration clearly visible across his heartbroken face at the time, Jarrod insisted that there are no hard feelings with Stu.
‘You can’t stop a connection,’ he told the publication.
‘It’s me that had the whole time and it’s him that had half the time, and he had the same feelings. So, we were both in this!’
Given that it was unclear during the show, Jarrod made sure the publication knew that he ‘loved’ Sophie and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

‘We’d spoken about kids and movements… I think the first thing we’d have done was have some normality in our lives.’
‘Not have cameras, publicists, people pulling us away from each other – they’re all beautiful people, but it would have been nice to have some time to Sophie and I.’

Coincidences happen! But in the end, it wasn’t to be – Sophie chose a great guy, who also happens to be the heir to a reported $500 million pub empire
Jarrod let more of his feelings out on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Friday in an interview that saw him question Stu’s eligibility as a partner and also claim he would try again with Sophie if she were willing.
Although he insisted that he thought Laundy was ‘a nice guy’ and the two ‘got along very well’ Jarrod was also confused as to why Sophie had chosen the still-wed 44-year-old over him.
‘Starting a whole new life together with someone who doesn’t have any baggage would be nice.’
‘I’m still hung up on Sophie’ Jarrod told Kyle and Jackie, ‘I was 110 per cent confident that we were going to be walking off together’
‘You know – kids, vasectomy, married and all that,’ he said.
And, although he said that he’s wishing the new couple ‘all the best’ Jarrod also made it clear he’s not yet over being dumped.
‘I’m still hung up on Sophie,’ he told Kyle and Jackie. ‘I was 110 per cent confident that we were going to be walking off together.’
‘If things didn’t work out for them, and I really hope they do work things out, I’d be there for Sophie as a friend,’ he added.
‘If she wanted to try again I would definitely give it a go.’

‘If she wanted to try again I would definitely give it a go’ Jarrod said that he still has feelings for Sophie that are strong enough for him to forgive her rejection
#putoutyourplants: Sadly, while Jarrod’s infamous seeds – planted with love and fertilised by urine – did grow, they were brutally uprooted in the gale force winds generated by Stu’s helicopter of heartbreak
