Bachelorette reject Luke watches intently at Randwick

He went from odds-on favourite to shock elimination in less than a fortnight.

So hopefully Bachelorette reject Luke McLeod had better luck at Randwick racecourse this weekend.

The 33-year-old was spotted standing trackside and keeping a watchful eye on the finish line on Saturday.

Not another heartbreak! Hopefully Bachelorette reject Luke McLeod had better luck than he did in the mansion at Randwick racecourse this weekend

He looked dapper in a  tight navy suit with a subtle check pattern and a matching solid blue tie.

Accompanied by a mate, the Business Culture Consultant nursed a beer as he soaked up the action on the track.

At one point, he was spotted craning his neck in anticipation as he turned his expression towards what was presumably the finish line.

Sadly for Luke, the finish line was much easier to see at Randwick on Saturday than it was on the Bachelorette this season.

After entering as the front-runner, he was shockingly kicked to the curb by Sophie Monk in a shock double elimination on Wednesday night.

‘I hope you find what you’re looking for,’ the stunned contestant said in a baffling moment, before exiting the house alongside Mackane Reid.

Right up until his elimination, Luke was considered a strong contender to make it to the final two, with pub baron Stu Laundy the other clear favourite.

What’s more compounding for the occupation and business culture specialist was the fact there was no easily identifiable rift between him and Sophie.

‘I didn’t see it coming – I thought we had a good connection,’ the heartbroken hunk told producers, moments after learning of his fate.

‘I wish that she really finds happiness, that she finds what she’s looking for.’
