Bachelorette’s Luke McLeod has worked as an actor before

The hunk introduced himself as a business culture consultant to Bachelorette Sophie Monk during last Wednesday’s debut episode.

But fan favourite Luke McLeod appears to have entered the mansion with his sights already set on a more glamorous career path following the series.

Earlier this year, the 33-year-old appeared as an actor in an advertisement for Aeroplane Jelly.

The non-speaking role shows Luke as a father to two children, as he prepares for a birthday celebration.

Showing off his pearly whites with a handsome smile on screen, he is seen hanging up a happy birthday banner while his ‘wife’ and ‘children’ prepare jelly for dessert.

Later sitting at the table in the commercial, Luke holds a spoon ready to dig into his bowl of blue jelly.

Luke posted about the advert, believed to be filmed in March, earlier this year with a behind-the-scenes photo.

‘One of things I’m doing this year is stepping more out of my comfort zone and trying new things,’ he said, appearing to be open to accepting more acting roles.

‘Packed to the Rafters’ eat your heart out haha… next time you’re watching Sponge Bob Square Pants keep an eye out for my little family,’ Luke added, claiming he was filming with ‘the team from Nickelodeon’.

Funnily enough, Sophie likened the hunk to a famous actor when she first met him: ‘He’s very handsome. Like, a bit George Clooney-ish.’

Sophie appeared smitten with Luke almost immediately and thought it was endearing: ‘he was so incredibly nervous’.

However, the former Bardot singer told The Project last week: ‘There was one guy I [saw] and went, ‘Yeah, I’m in love’. And then he was the biggest d***** I’d ever met.’

The actress has prided herself in the past of being able to spot fairly quickly when a guy is only after fame by dating her.

Sportsbet odds place Luke McLeod in top spot at $2.50… but expected intruder Stu Laundy could shake up the competition.
