Back to the lavish life! Adrian Portelli shows off very flash new $2million sports car and private jet – after downsizing to $40,000 vehicle following backlash over luxury purchases

The Block bidder Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli recently downsized from an $800,000 sports car to a $40,000 Audi after complaints he was flaunting his lifestyle.

But the millionaire property investor, 35, ignored the critics on Tuesday as he showed off his latest purchase on Instagram.

Adrian, who is known for his multi-million dollar sports car collection, shared a photo of his new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722S after purchasing the car in London.

Mercedes has only built 150 units of this convertible and a similar rare performance supercar sold in 2018 for over AUD $2million, Motor1 reported.

In the photo, Adrian couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he posed alongside his new car with his private jet in the background.

‘London touchdown! Finally did the deal on a SLR McLaren 722S ready to bring back home after the Euro trip,’ he wrote.

Adrian’s new purchase comes just days after he revealed he had downsized what he drives following complaints he was flaunting his lifestyle.

The millionaire property investor shared a photo to Instagram on Saturday of him posing up a storm with his more modest new vehicle.

Adrian was all smiles in the picture as he stood alongside the slick four door, which had a hilarious sticker on its rear window, which read: ‘My other car is a Lamborghini’.

He captioned the snap with some telling words: ‘A couple of butt-hurt people about my recent vehicle purchases.

‘So I’ve decided to tone it down and drive my little Audi A1 for a while.’

However, fans were quick to note the vehicle sported a unique licence plate which said ’20’, with one person claiming the cost of purchasing that plate would have exceeded the price of the car.

‘I think your registration plate is worth more than my car,’ one follower wrote and a second person added: ‘It sold on Tuesday for $2.54million.’

Adrian has developed a reputation for flaunting his lavish wealth and very expensive car collection on social media.

He is a multi-millionaire property investor and online promotions guru with an estimated net worth of $1.03 billion.
