A man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted an English backpacker at Lamberts Beach, Queensland.
The man is described as being aged in his 40s, approximately 170cms tall, bald with a chubby build and ‘pot belly’.
He had a dark complexion and is of Pacific Islander in appearance.

The woman was laid down on the sand, before he lay down on top of her on Thursday at 1pm
Police will allege the man had a conversation with the backpacker aged in her 20s.

It is alleged he grabbed her breasts as she struggled to push him off her.
He then fled in a silver or grey Holden Commodore.
Detective Senior Sergeant David Tucker is asking members of the public to come forward if they have any information regarding the incident.
However, investigations have revealed there had been previous incidents which fit the description of the alleged harasser.
