A balding man looks unrecognisable following an ‘amazing’ transformation that saw him compared to Star Trek actor Chris Pine.

Lee, 41, struggles with hair loss after being required to take morphine tablets having suffered an injury to his spinal cord after slipping a disc in his lower back.

In an attempt to revitalise his hairline, Lee visited Novo Cabelo salon in Durham to be fitted with a hair system.

Hair systems are a non-surgical hair replacement product that can be used to cover hair loss and can be made from real human hair or synthetic hair that is woven onto a base material such as lace or polyurethane.

Given it was Lee’s first time having a hair system implemented, founder and creator of Novo Cabelo, Rob Wood, said he did not want to give his client something that was too complex to take care of following the procedure.

After taking off a pair of sunglasses to reveal the transformation, Lee could not believe his eyes, as his previously sparse hairline now had a chic short trim on top showing a full head of hair

Lee was so amazed by the difference that he described the work of Rob as ‘ridiculous’ to be able to get his hair looking so stylish.

He looked so unrecognisable compared to before that Lee even joked: ‘Who is this guy?,’ after inspecting his new cut.

He added: ‘That’s crazy. It’s such a difference isn’t it?’

A note at the end of the video from the salon said that Lee would have to get his hair system refitted every three weeks – with the treatment set to last him between four and six months.

Reacting to the dramatic transformation, users were in awe of the difference, as they posted: ‘Chris Pine vibes’.

‘I think what you do is amazing’.

‘Amazing, took 10 years off the guy’.

‘My husband had his done a few weeks ago and his confidence has shot up and he’s constantly looking at himself in the mirror! Well done guys’.

‘Wow look how young he looks’.

‘It really brings out his eyes’.

It comes after another customer was left stunned after being given a new hairdo by the same salon.

Before Rob weaved his magic, 40-year-old Gethin’s hair was thinning on top and he was forced to sweep it in a combover style.

He divulged that his hair had been thinning for years but since his milestone 40th birthday last February he had been attempting to hide his hair loss.

He said: [My hair] started to thin. Obviously, at the back, you can see it in the forehead, obviously, losing a lot of hair as well.

‘You get used to the same old same old I suppose is the only way I can explain it.’

Brimming with joyful tears, Gethin was lost for words when his new look was unveiled in the mirror.

The beaming 40-year-old said: ‘Oh my god. I never thought I’d see the day again. God its absolutely amazing love it – absolutely love it.’
