Barcelona are in talks with Manchester United to re-sign youngster Marc Jurado, according to reports.

The 19-year-old defender was ever-present for United’s Under 21 side last season, playing 25 times with three goals to his name.

Jurado is yet to play a competitive match for the first team and could be on the move to Barcelona this summer, as reported by SPORT.

The Spanish outlet claim the Catalan side are keen to strengthen their B team, with some players set to depart and others set for a promotion to the first team.

Talks between Barcelona and United are ongoing for Jurado, who moved to the Red Devils for free in 2020 having left the famous La Masia academy.

Jurado operates as a right-back and he signed his first professional deal with United in 2021. He trained with the first team on a few occasions last season and travelled with them for their winter training camp in December.

His impressive performances for the youth team earned him a call-up to the senior squad as he made the bench against Nottingham Forest in April.

Jurado came off the bench as United opened pre-season with a 2-0 win over old rivals Leeds on Wednesday thanks to goals by Noam Emeran and Joe Hugiull.

Erik ten Hag’s side will continue their preparations for the new season when they take on Lyon in Scotland on Wednesday.
