Highly-popular 1990s beach drama Baywatch is set to return but will series stars Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff be returning as well?
Fox has landed a reboot of the highly-popular series as the network has closed on a deal with Freemantle according to Variety on Monday.
The series originally starred Hasselhoff, now 71, from 1989 to 1999 before being retooled as Baywatch Hawaii from 1999 to 2001.
He also starred in spinoff series Baywatch Nights which aired from 1995 to 1997.
The 56-year-old actress Anderson – who shared love advice last week – led the red swimsuit brigade which included actresses like Yasmine Bleeth, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul, Parker Stevenson, Erika Eleniak, in addition to several others.

The original series was a worldwide phenomenon as it aired in more than 145 countries at one point which is more than any other TV show.
According to Variety, the public relations team for the series even made up a stat calling it the ‘No. 1 series in the world,’ which was even printed as fact in numerous publications.
