BBC Breakfast fans were left raging after the morning show was cut short and downgraded to a smaller channel on Monday.
The scheduling shake-up saw those tuning in early fume: ‘I’m going back to bed!’ as they discovered the programme was absent.
The morning show’s regular time slow will change slightly this week to make way for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games coverage.
BBC Breakfast airs throughout the week normally between 6am and 9:30am.
On Monday morning, the show started at usual time of 6am but jumped across to BBC Two at 8am for one hour.

Viewers will be able to tune into the morning programme at 6am on July 30 and July 31 for 45 minutes before it switches across to BBC Two until 9am.
Saturday’s breakfast show shake-up saw livid fans complain of the unexpected change as the programme was cut short to cover the Olympics.
Furious fans shared their frustration on X, with some threatening to boycott the show overall.
Some comments read: ‘Olympics, I switched it off and went to bed #bbcbreakfast’,
‘@BBCNews you’ve cut #bbcbreakfast short! Can’t the Olympics wait till 9? Or put it on News24?’,
‘#bbcbreakfast I might as well do my big shop at 8:00am.. #OlympicGames.’
The hit breakfast show isn’t the only channel affected by the Olympics as two other huge programmes have also been affected.
Bosses have pulled beloved shows Bargain Hunt and Homes Under the Hammer off air, in the latest scheduling shake-up.

All will not be lost as, the fan favourite shows will move over to BBC Two for the next week in the meantime.
It follows the latest TV schedule chaos, which saw The One Show vanish from screens earlier this month.
The famed programme will be off air for several weeks and will return on August 12th.
Hosts Alex Jones, Roman Kemp, Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating will be taking a short ‘summer break’ while the Olympics take over.
Presenters Alex and Roman kicked off their final show last week with Katy Perry in attendance to chat about her new music.
At the end of the episode, Roman told viewers: ‘Thanks so much to Katy Perry. Enjoy the Olympics, see you on the 12th August!’
