Warm weather and sunshine has sent Australians flocking to the beach – but storm clouds are on their way to spoil it for some.
Sydney is in the middle of a warm spell with temperatures set to hit 25C or higher for the rest of November, a stretch unmatched since 1968.
Melbourne, however, is bracing for severe thunderstorms on Sunday, with large hail, heavy rain and flash floods expected.

Weatherzone meterologist Criag McIntosh told Daily Mail Australia wet weather may also interrupt the fourth day of the Ashes cricket test in Brisbane.
‘From the morning until the early afternoon they could come and go throughout the day,’ he said.
He said severe thunderstorms are likely through the afternoon in Melbourne.
‘Damaging winds, and heavy rain could lead to flash flooding, and large hail is a definite threat.’

He advised people in Melbourne to keep alert for severe weather warnings.’

‘Perth is well above average in terms of temperature,’ Mr McIntosh said.
A low pressure trough is making its way from Western Australia, across the Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania bring areas of storms and showers to parts of each state.
